Low Tide

‘Low Tide’ Is a 16 Page comic about a lonely and isolated trans man, who’s tears transform an eel into a merman. This was created as an exploration and reflection on my own feelings, using the idea of transforming into a merman as an allegory for self acceptance.

Additionally, this comic explores the concept of being recognised by and seeing yourself in the natural world, with both characters being influenced by sea creature based mythology. The eel character, for instance, is influenced by the Cornish Sea Bucca.
